In his book “The 3 Hour Diet – on the go” (the 3-hour take-away diet, in English), fitness and nutrition coach Jorge Cruise revives the concept of the diet. Far from the drastic and drastic cures, this diet ensures rapid weight loss without any food or calorie restriction. The perfect opportunity to reconcile with small pleasures without feeling guilty.

What is the 3 hour diet?

Read the nutritional labels, calculate the number of calories in each food, favor proteins, avoid sugar and fat… In terms of diet, the list of regulations is often long and tedious. Unlike these, the Jorge Cruise diet is simple and effective. The only restriction to follow: eat every three hours. The program for the day: breakfast at 7 a.m., snack at 10 a.m., lunch at 1 p.m., snack at 4 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The last meal of the day is voluntarily scheduled early to allow better digestion. If hunger is felt, it is quite possible to taste a few squares of chocolate before bedtime.

Unlike conventional cures, the 3 hour diet calls for more flexibility. No menus or restrictions are indicated. The principle: eat a healthy and balanced diet while avoiding large excesses. Food hygiene based on the consumption of all kinds of nutrients (lipids, vitamins, carbohydrates, proteins or even minerals) to avoid any deficiencies. To the delight of nutritionists!

3 hour diet: what do we think about it?

Ultimately, the multiplication of meals would stimulate metabolism. The body, not having the time to store fat, would be more able to spend … and therefore lose weight. Eating six times a day also generates faster satiation and therefore the consumption of smaller portions. Based on this simple principle, the author of this diet speaks of weight loss of up to 4.5 pounds in just 15 days.

Some additional recommendations

To accentuate the results, Jorge Cruise recommends the practice of a sporting activity, whether it is intensive or not. Just walking for a few minutes a day keeps you fit. Also, remember to hydrate regularly (at least 1.5 liters per day) and limit your alcohol consumption. At the restaurant, it is also advisable to swap the main course for a resolutely lighter starter.
